Alfred Bhulai has been in academics mostly as a physical scientist: 14 years at High School level, 8 of which were at St. Stanislaus College, and 27 years at University level, 21 of which were at the University of Guyana, during which time he created and supervised many technical projects in chemistry, physics and engineering. His early training in energy technology and its use in these projects has refined his ability to prescribe and direct viable practices for the efficient use of energy in any enterprise.
Avinand Rampersaud was a self studying physics student and a teacher for Mathematics and Physics up to the Advanced Level. After studying civil engineering, he gained experience in managing building and road projects. His final-year undergrad research project, sponsored by THINK ENGINE, investigated the feasibility of an offshore wind farm for Guyana. He is now a full engineer at SOL Guyana Inc. He considers Alfred Bhulai his long-time mentor and friend.
Louis Jordan is able to wire lots of switching choices in the use of limited (low cost) solar power installations in order to provide a measure of genuine insulation from the vagaries of the public supply of electricity. His skills are also evident in the wiring of buildings, computer and UPS systems to the required standards of safety -- whether for household or large organization.
Louis is also skilled in wood carving and has many exhibits to his credit.
Was schoolboy prodigy in electronics and electromagnetics even among a class of exceptionally high IQs at the top educational institutions in the country. Now in his 50s we thank God Colin has remained in Guyana to solve our most difficult electronic problems. Academics presented no challenges because he found greater pleasure and rewards in fixing what others could not, especially with the country's limited technical infrastructure. Currently in greatest demand in broadcast communication at any ad hoc frequency in the spectrum.
Got some advice from Avinand Rampersaud when studying applied maths at CAPE, which he still values today to keep au fait in his endeavours. Alistair's interest in programming, mathematics, and power systems led to his final year project in developing a user-friendly software to perform power flow analysis using Matlab’s GUI.
